Our client is currently seeking a self starting, motivated VHDL developer to help continue the evolution of the program’s processing systems. The applicant must be able to work  independently, as well as in a small group, to solve complex, real time, signals processing challenges in a dynamic, state of art, development environment.
 
We are looking for a developer with experience in all phases of the development process to include requirements analysis, design, implementation, test and fielding of these systems. Work is to be performed in the customer lab spaces. The current team consists of a heterogeneous mix of contractors as well as government personnel.
 
The advertised position requires an in-depth understanding of signals processing as well as how to apply current development practices to solve the complex issues involved with real time DSP on FPGAs in an application that crosses the boundary between software and firmware.
 
Required Skills:
  • VHDL experience – (5+ years)
  • Modelsim experience (3+ years)
  • Synplify experience – (3+ years)
  • C/C++ experience – (1+ years)
  • Linux/Unix – (3+ years)
  • Signals processing experience- (1+ years)
  • General customer knowledge- (3+ years)
 
Nice to have skills:
  • MSEE
  • CM Tools (Razor, CVS, Subversion…)
  • Specific PAPAYA class target experience
  • Oracle
  • Customer Environment (Data flows, Processing systems interfaces…)
  • Willingness to travel
